The conurbation of Collina d’Oro was born in April 2004 from the union of the village of Agra, Gentilino and Montagnola following one of the first aggregate projects completed in Ticino. To the starting three villages, it was subsequently added in the month of April 2012, Carabbietta. Today, the conurbation of Collina d’Oro counts 4’670 inhabitants and represents the forth most populous one in the district of Lugano.
