Arogno, for its architectural and landscaping characteristics, has been signaled by the ISOS (‘Inventario degli isediamenti svizzeri da proteggere’) as a village of national importance. It is southerly exposed, in a semicircular form, with an interesting road system composed by alleys, stairways and arches. The village presents praiseworthy squares with a notable historical- architectural quality.
